Our restaurant das Kranich invites you to linger in the historic atmosphere of Schlaining Castle and indulge in regional and seasonal delicacies. What is the best way to get to the hotel (car, train, bus)?

You can reach us by car at the following address:

Take the bus connections listed to Oberwart (approx. 7 km from Stadtschlaining), then take bus no. 85. If this does not run, the BAST (Burgenländische Anruf-Sammeltaxi) is available for smallgroups(up to 8 people) at the same price as public transport. Please book one hour in advance: 0800 500 805

The nearest train station is in Hartberg and is approx. 25 minutes away by car. From there you can reach us by cab.

Is the hotel located within Schlaining Castle?

No. The Burghotel is located directly opposite Schlaining Castle, just a few steps away. The hotel was revitalized and built in the former smithy and the former arsenal.

Is the hotel barrier-free?

Yes, the Burghotel Schlaining is barrier-free and also has barrier-free rooms. 

Where can hotel guests park?

You will find our hotel parking lot approx. 50 m from the hotel. The parking spaces are well signposted and easy to find. The parking spaces are available free of charge.
You can stop in front of the hotel for 15 minutes to load and unload your luggage. 

Where can buses park?

Stadtschlaining has its own bus parking lot, just a 3-minute walk from the hotel. Bus travelers can also get on and off the bus a few meters below the hotel and then park the bus safely in the designated bus parking area. 

Where are the nearest e-charging stations in Stadtschlaining?

The nearest e-charging stations are located approx. 50m from the hotel.

What are the check-in / check-out times?

Your room will be available to you from 15.00 on the day of arrival . If you arrive earlier, we will be happy to store your luggage at reception.

On the day of departure, we ask you to vacate the rooms by 10.00 a.m. to ensure that everything runs smoothly. 

Is WiFi available in the rooms and public areas?

Yes, free WiFi is available throughout the hotel

What room categories are there and do all rooms have a view?

The Burghotel Schlaining has 64 rooms in the categories: Standard, Comfort, Superior, Junior Suite and Suite. Some of our rooms have a view of the inner courtyard.

We are happy to cater to your individual wishes and prepare flowers, champagne or other surprises for you.
